林文傑教授舊藏

林文傑教授(b.1947),生於潮陽,長於香港。十六歲赴加拿大深造,醫學生物物理博士,二十四歲即任教哈佛 。1982年與奧比斯眼科飛行醫院創辦人佩頓教授首次赴中國交流。1985年成立美國德州第一間生物科技公司,並於1988年上市。次年獲「美國高科技企業家大獎」和「美國總統勳章」。又獲邀為美國總統藝術人文委員會委員,是第一位獲此殊榮的亞裔。1999年成立「世界眼科組織」(WEO),為窮人防盲治盲。

林氏早年隨周士心、趙少昂、楊善深等學習中國書畫,並於1980年偶然發明「折光畫」,用不同攝影液體在黑白相紙上顯現不同顏色與效果。1982至1983年曾與中港臺三地藝術家張大千、趙少昂、關山月合繪《梅蘭竹芝》圖。本輯得其舊藏六件作品,其中李可染、關山月的精心寫贈,頗能見證一段以藝會友的佳話。

This lot includes Vol. 2 of Guan Shanyue's Serial Albums: A Eulogy of Our Beautiful Land, a catalogue for 'Exhibition on the Recent Work of Guan Shanyue' in Hong Kong, published in Taipei in 1992, which Guan Shanyue signed and sent to Professor Dominic Man-Kit Lam as a gift.

本拍品隨附關山月簽名贈與林文傑之1992年10月31日-11月22日香港「關山月近作展」的展覽圖錄《關山月畫輯第2集:山河頌》,台灣國風出版社1992年出版。

註:林文傑自幼喜繪蘭花並親手培植,一九八四年秋,關山月應邀訪美,客於林氏植有數千盆蘭花的居所,為其命名「幽蘭居」。
