"Originally published in Dutch earlier in the same year, this is the first French edition, enlarged by the editor with a second part Déscription générale de l'empire de la Chine. The first part describes the embassy to China undertaken in 1655-57 by Peter van Goyer and Jacob Keyzer on behalf of the Dutch East Indian Company" (Löwendahl). This copy has the following pagination: [16],290,[2],134,[2], varying slightly from that cited in Löwendahl, but it appears to be complete.
