Two Thai sawankhalok celadon-glazed jars

15th century
Of globular form, the broad shoulders set with two lug handles below the short everted neck and bulbous mouth, carved with bands of lotus leaves divided by encircling lines. The larger 16.5cm (6 1/2in) high (2).
