A painted pottery figure of a female dancer

Tang Dynasty
The graceful figure wearing a long-sleeved surcoat belted above the waist and cloud-shaped slippers, the head turned to one side and hair pulled up into two topknots, depicted in animated pose, gracefully stepping forward with one arm raised and the other resting upon her knee. 25.4cm (10in) high
