An archaistic bronze ritual food vessel, gui

Of archaistic form, raised on a hollow pedestal foot terminating in a flat foot rim, finely cast with stylised animals and taotie masks on a leiwen ground, divided by flanges on both sides, the vessel flanked by a pair of mythical beast-heads issuing loop handles with pendent tabs and decorated with C-scrolls. 24cm (9 1/2in) wide
