款識：知賢弟至舍。晚寒。想顧之（傷）。歎遂（爾永）惟（痛）夀春。富陽范道長，體氣以小勝前日。得此暑。大都尋常。新（婦）書寄物示諸【人】（也），散騎二君（何）時還。辛巳（1641）春。王鐸。

註：
此幅書於一六四一年，是其五十歲之作。所臨《賢弟帖》同刻於《淳化閣帖》卷五及《絳帖》卷一，姜夔所撰《絳帖平》則指出此帖應出自王獻之筆跡。王鐸臨帖之勤，自謂隔日臨帖，終身不移，其行草宗二王，筆力雄健。此軸草書寫於綾本之上，筆勢勁健縱逸，意到筆隨。右下有「石𡪾」一印，應為明朝書畫家及收藏鑑賞家袁樞之印。袁氏工書畫精鑑賞，為明末畫壇領袖董其昌所推重。王鐸與袁樞交情深厚，書有《贈袁樞詩冊》相贈。
此軸包首題「天泉閣藏神品」，「天泉閣」乃許源來（1904-1979）室名。許氏出身官宦世家，曾任上海市文物保管委員會顧問，書法家，著名戲曲評論家許姬傳（1900-1990）弟。許姬傳曾擔任梅蘭芳的私人秘書多年，並著有《梅蘭芳舞台生活四十年》、《許姬傳藝壇漫錄》等書。許氏兄弟喜文物鑑賞，與當時的大鑑藏家吳湖帆、張珩、韓慎先多有來往。
