A fine Charles Bruguier silver and silver-gilt singing bird box, Swiss, circa 1825,

stamped on the bedplate C.BRUGUIER 77, the silver case with moulded, guilloche and engraved scroll decoration, the top applied with silver gilt floral wreath centred by automaton lid enamelled on the outside with Alpine and lake scene, the interior with floral bouquet, the singing bird automaton with head, beak and wings movement, with original ratcheted winding key and pink silk lined leather case, the silver case 3 1/2 x 1 1/4 x 2 1/4in (9 x 3 x 5.5cm)
