A rare William Longland refracting telescope, English, circa 1695,

stamped WILL LONGLAND AT THE SHIP IN CORNHILL LONDON, white parchment main tube with tooled geometric pattern decoration, six draw tubes of parchment, turned lignum vitae end pieces (eyepiece lacking over, objective mount missing sections), extended length 47in (121cm)
