A mid 18th century diamond, bloodstone and gold mounted etui

unmarked
Tapering rectangular form, the front and back with panels of mottled bloodstone with bell husk chased gold corner-mounts, the sides with gold panels chased with rocaille architectural and floral scrolls, the diamond-set push button releases the hinged cover to reveal a fitted interior with a gold penknife, a pencil holder, a tweezer-file, a bodkin and a pair of gold handled scissors, height 8.8cm.
