A Louis XVI vari-coloured gold bonbonniere

by Pierre-André Barbier, Paris 1772
The pull off cover with central circular portrait miniature on ivory of a be-wigged gentleman, under glass with reeded frame on a linear ground with applied yellow gold stiff leaf border, the sides and base with similar ground and borders, diameter 4.5cm, weight 47gms.
