An early 18th century patinated bronze figure of Hercules
after Giambologna (1529-1608)
depicted standing astride with his left arm outstretched and raising his club in his right hand; on an integrally cast rectangular plinth and later rectangular stepped wooden base, the bronze: 21.5cm wide, 14cm deep, 41cm high (8in wide, 5 1/2in deep, 16in high); overall: 55cm high 21 1/2in high).
