Footnotes

The MV Swan was commissioned from Vickers of Barrow by the LMS Railway in 1938, to replace an earlier lakes steamer of the same name. Built in sections, she was transported to Lakeside by rail and assembled on site. She is still n passenger service today. This model is believed to have been built by Vickers for LMS. Illuminated models are typical of Railway vessels of the period.
