Inscribed on the blades; Hood 1935 All Comers Whaler 1st. J.G.Mackie, Cpl. and Hood 1935 R.M.Whaler 1st. J.G.Mackie, Cpl Both by NAAFI, hallmarked 1934. 8ins.(20cm)long each.

Footnotes
The annual Fleet Regatta was held at Scapa flow in 1935. HMS Hood was the most successful vessel, winning the coveted "Cock" Trophy. In total she won 18 Firsts, 6 second and 5 third places, her crews pocketing over £70 in prize money. Hood beat HMS Rodney into second place for both these two Whaler races.
