A dark-stained wood netsuke of a wasp in a finger citron

By Sukeyuki, Hida, Takayama, circa 1890
The insect gnawing a large hole in the side of a rotting finger citron, the stalk bending over at the top to form the himotoshi, the wasp's eyes inlaid with dark horn pupils, signed Sukeyuki. 5.3cm (2 1/16in) high.
