A wood netsuke of a skeleton and wolf

By Suketada, Takayama, late 19th century
The skeleton fighting with the wolf, pinning it to the ground on its back, delicately carved in stained boxwood, the wolf's eyes inlaid, signed in an oval reserve Suketada. 5.5cm (1¾in).
