A wood netsuke of a recumbent goat

Style of Tametaka, Nagoya, late 18th/early 19th century
Resting with its head turned back to the left and one hind leg drawn forward to scratch its neck, the other legs drawn in for compactness, the well-patinated wood has some wear, unsigned. 4.8cm (1 7/8in).
