The bird of prey perched with its wings folded, the head turned slightly to the right, the whole in silver, the feathers chased in kebori, the legs gilt, unsigned; the wood stand mounted with gilt fittings engraved with karakusa, with detachable shibuichi esaire (container for food or water) and silk tasselled rope, with separate rectangular wood stand, with wood storage box. The hawk 7.6cm x 11.2cm (3in x 4 3/8in), the hawk stand 21.5cm x 20.3cm (8½in x 8in). (6).
