A silver choshi (sake kettle) and lacquered-bamboo warming vessel

Meiji Period
The bulbous upper body of the sake kettle engraved in kebori with flowering plum and magnolia on one side and irises and peonies on the other, its lower cylindrical body unadorned, fitting snugly into the outer lacquered-bamboo vessel, decorated with a row of simulated repairs; unsigned. 16cm (6½in) high.
