The kappa standing on a large clam and bearing an agonized expression as it struggles to release one webbed foot which is caught in the jaws of the shell, the closed end of which is inlaid with shell, another, smaller shell inlaid beneath, the wood is variously stained for effect and the cord holes are ringed with bone, signed on a raden tablet Homin. 3.5cm (1 3/8in).
