The first carved in shishiaibori with Fukurokuju fording a stream with a small boy on his back, the reverse engraved with a flying crane, signed Hojitsu with kao, 4.5cm (1¾in); the second carved in a similar manner with two diminutive men tying a line around the foot of Asahina Saburo, the reverse engraved with a ferry boat, signed Ono Ryomin with kao, 4.2cm (1 5/8in). (2).
