A gilt copper alloy figure of a hierarch

Tibet, 16th/17th century
Seated on an antelope skin splayed over a double-layered cushion with cloud and lotus designs, clad in a monastic outer robe draped in naturalistic folds and a meditation band (yogapatta) slung over his right shoulder, his hands resting in his lap supporting a vase of longevity with lotus bud finial, and wearing a blissful expression and a fringe of curls.
