A wood netsuke of Gama sennin

School of Naito Toyomasa, Tanba, early 19th century
Standing, his body twisted to the right as he holds a large toad on his shoulder, the slightly-worn wood bearing a good patina and the eyes inlaid with pale translucent and dark horn, inscribed Toyomasa. 6.3cm (2½in).
