An ivory Ryusa-style manju with metal inlay

Late 19th century
Carved and pierced with pine branches among swirling clouds and inlaid with two gold shishi standing on rocky ledges and a koro on a shakudo stand above a small waterfall, the ivory stained for effect, unsigned. 4.2cm (1 5/8in).
