A gold lacquer three-case inro

By Gyoshosai, 19th century
Of wide form, the ground of sparse nashiji and gold togidashi stylised wave ground, lacquered with a Dutch ship, under full square-rigged sail, with numerous crew members on deck, in gold and coloured takamakie with kirikane details, the interior of nashiji, signed Gyoshosai with red pot seal. 7.3cm (2 7/8in).
