An ivory netsuke of three shishi

By Masayoshi, 19th century
Rolling over each other and playfully biting each other, their flowing curly manes and tails trailing, partly carved à jour, the ivory is slightly worn and bears a light stain, the eye pupils inlaid, signed in a rectangular reserve Masayoshi. 4.5cm (1¾in).
