A fine large ivory netsuke of a grazing horse

Kyoto, early 19th century
Standing in a typical attitude, its head lowered to the left and its hooves together, its tail sweeping around at the back and forming the himotoshi, forming a compact composition in slightly-worn and well-toned ivory, the eye pupils inlaid, unsigned. 8.2cm (3¼in).
