A Meissen Hausmaler oval sugar bowl and cover, circa 1725-35

Painted in underglaze-blue with flowering branches and grasses issuing from fences, overdecorated in the Ferner workshop in gilding and enamels with additional flowers and a bird, the cover with a gilt scrollwork border and a gilt dog finial, 12cm across, crossed swords mark and : in underglaze-blue (flat chip to inside edge of rim) (2)
