A Nevers faience oval stand, circa 1650
In Urbino style, decorated in vivid colours with a central putto standing on a dolphin's head amidst waves, surrounded by yellow grotesques alternating with blue scrollwork, the rim with large scrolling acanthus leaves with yellow tips, 45.5cm wide (haircracks, typical losses to glaze at bottom rim, drilled for hanging)
