A pair of Doccia cups and saucers and a sugar bowl and cover, circa 1785-90

Decorated with a faux bois or a bussolotto pattern reserved with rectangular grisaille landscape scenes, the quartrelobed sugar bowl with a domed cover and rose finial with same wood grain motif, the cartouches L.B.P and A.P.S. in the corners, sugar bowl: 10cm high, old collector's label to the base (some damage and repairs) (6)

Another cup and saucer with closely similar decoration is illustrated in Porcellane del Museo Marton (2011) cat.no. 123. A cylindrical teacup and saucer with the same decoration as the sugar bowl, including the initials LBP and APS, is illustrated by Biancalana 2009, p. 151.
