A Deruta albarello, mid 16th century

Of sharply waisted shape, painted with a robbiana garland of fruit framing a yellow-ground panel of St Ursula, initialled S.L, the unrolled scroll label inscribed 'GRASso.D.GALLiNA', (chicken fat), 17.5cm high, incised pharmacy mark and numerals (cracked with some glaze loss)
