A black lacquer single-case inro
Late 19th century
Decorated in Somada-style with two shaped panels, one with two sages in a garden, one playing a koto, the other with peonies and a butterfly, on a formal ground, all inlaid and applied in gold foil and aogai, the interior of nashiji, unsigned; with a ceramic mask netsuke of Okina, unsigned. 9.2cm (3 5/8in).
