A boxwood netsuke of a millstone maker

By Jobun, Edo, late 18th century
Seated, looking down with a concentrated expression as he chisels at the top of a round millstone held betwen his legs, the wood slightly-worn and bearing a good patina, signed Jobun. 3.8cm (1½in).
