Three ivory netsuke
19th century
The first of a puppy recumbent on a mat, the ivory slightly-worn and the eyes inlaid, signed in an irregular reserve Tomo, 4.2cm (1 5/8in); the second of a seated puppy, its head turned to the left and its eyes inlaid, signed Gyokuzan, 3.5cm (1 3/8in); and the third an oval manju carved and pierced with numerous fruit and nuts in the manner of Gyokuhosai, unsigned, 3.8cm (1½in).
