A pair of inlaid abumi (stirrups)

The stirrups by Fujiwara Shigehisa and inlaid by Murakami Kiyozaemon, 17th century
Of typical form, each inlaid on the face with sangaibishi-mon flanked by scrolling flowerheads in silver and brass honzogan, the underside with swirling water and the interior of aogai, each signed beneath Bishu Chita ju Shigehisa, one signed on the front for the inlay Bishu Nagoya ju, Moriie, the other signed for the inlay Murakami Kiyozaemon no jo saku. Both 30cm (11¾in) long. (2).
