Two jingasa
18th century
Each of black lacquer, the first of deep form, the brim raised at the front, lacquered in matt gold with Maru ni hanabishi-mon, the underside of red lacquer, depth 35.5cm (14in); the second with broad rim, inlaid in brass with Nakawa no uchi ni ken katabami-mon, the underside lacquered-red, depth 35cm (13¾in). (2).
