A hishinui do tosei gusoku armour

Mid to late Edo Period, 18th/19th century
The sixty-two plate black-lacquered suji bachi kabuto mounted with a gilt kuwagata-dai, kuwagata and moon maedate, a five-lame Hineno jikoro of kiritsuke kozane gold-lacquered. Black-lacquered iron menpo with hair moustache and chin tuft and a five-lame yodare kake, ko sode of gold-lacquered kiritsuke kozane. The yokohagi hishinui do unusually lacquered in a metallic lacquer showing coppery tints possibly degraded silver. A sendan and kyubi no ita on the front. Kusazuri of leather kiritsuke kozane gold-lacquered and trimmed with bear fur. Gold-lacquered oda gote, ikada haidate with an inset mon and shino suneate. Laced overall in red kebiki odoshi. Together with an armour box and stand.
