A hishinui do tosei gusoku armour

Mid Edo Period 18th/19th century
An eboshi nari kabuto, the bowl lacquered with sabi nuri with the mabisashi and koshimaki in brown, on either side wakidate of gilded horns, the black-lacquered Hineno jikoro of kiritsuke kozane. Russet iron menpo with hair moustache, ko sode of kiritsuke kozane, black-lacquered hishinui ni mai do with leather kusazuri of kiritsuke kozane, shino gote black-lacquered iron plate and mail haidate shino suneate. Laced overall in dark blue kebiki odoshi. The interior of the do with the owners name in red lacquer which appears to read Masatoku Houshu. Contained in an armour box with a stand.
