A bakumatsu shakudo tsuba

Late 19th/early 20th century
Of mokko form, bearing a nanako ground, carved and inlaid with Kajiwara Genda Kagesue and Sasaki no Shiro Takatsuna in their race across the Uji river, inlaid in gold and silver takazogan, signed Hamano Kushi/Norinobu. 7.9cm (3 1/8in).
