Three pairs of menuki
Late 19th century
The first of shibuichi, of circular form, engraved in katakiri and kebori with irises and reeds, signed Natsuo koku, 2.2cm (7/8in); the second of brass with shakudo inlay, in the form of a mahout, holding a banner, and an elephant, 3.2cm (1¼in) and 2.5cm (1in); the third of copper and gilt metal, in the form of two nio, 2.8cm (1 1/8in); with three wood storage boxes. (6).
