Footnotes

The Dewitt Clinton was an American packet ship built in 1828 by Perrine, Patterson, and Stack in Greenpoint, Long Island. Owned by Henry L. Rich and William C. Taylor. She had principal measurements of 164ft LOA x 37ft beam x 21ft draft and weighing 1,066 tons.
