A jade fruit-shaped brush washer

18th century
Carved from an approximately circular pebble of very pale caramel-white tone as a hollow fruit on a long curling leafy twig coiling around the edge of the underside, a frog perched on the rim and two bats carved from the brown skin flying at one side, wood stand. 7cm (2¾in) wide (2).
