An ivory netsuke of Onna Daruma

By Masahiro, Osaka, late 19th century
Carved as Okame parodying Daruma, she bears a humorous expression and is dressed in voluminous robes, holding a sake ladle in place of a reishi fungus, the circular base movable to reveal shunga details beneath, signed in a rectangular reserve Masahiro. 3.7cm (1 3/8in). (2).
