An ebony netsuke of a bird on a pine branch

By Minkoku, 19th century
The bird, probably intended for a raven, perched on the short branch, its head lowered to the right as it preens its plumage, its wings drawn in, forming a compact composition, signed in a rectangular reserve Minkoku. 4.5cm (1¾in).
