Mid-late Edo Period, 18th/19th century
The black lacquered suji bachi kabuto well formed and fitted with a five-lame Hineno jikoro of kiritsuke kozane, on the front a giltwood maedate of a circle. Russet iron menpo with hair moustache. The do of ni mai okegawa yoko hagi style with the upper and lower plates laced, a gold circle and red arrow painted on the front, finely mounted with shakudo kanamono, the rivet heads in the shape of a butterfly mon, the main plates edged with shakudo and gilt fukurin, on the back an agemaki bow. Ko sode matching the do, shino gote, karutagane haidate and shino suneate, lacquered overall in black with dark blue kebiki odoshi, together with an armour box and wood stand.
