A go mai okegawa yokohagi do gusoku

Mid-late Edo Period, 18th/19th century
An eighteen-plate suji bachi kabuto with a five-lame Hineno jikoro, to the front a maedate of white hair covering the top of the helmet, a russet iron hanbo. The go mai okegawa yokohagi do has the front covered with long white hair hanging from the lower edge of the muneita, ko sode, shino gote, ikada haidate and shino suneate lacquered overall in black with dark blue lacing. Together with an armour box and wood stand.
