A suji bachi kabuto

Mid Edo Period, 18th century
The thirty-two-plate bowl black lacquered with a gold sun disc lacquered on the front, on the top a four-stage gilt metal tehen kanamono and on either side wakidate in the form of horns covered in white fur, on the back a kosho no kan with an agemaki bow; fitted with a five-lame black-lacquered kiritsuke kozane Hineno jikoro laced in dark blue kebiki odoshi; with wood stand.
