A Seto-ware blue and white drum and stand

Constructed in two separate sections, the barrel-shaped drum moulded in relief with clouds, the ends painted with two dragons flanking the tomo-e motif, the legs of the stand decorated with seasonal floral sprays reserved on a broken hexagonal motif ground, signed Nihon Owari no kuni Nagoya, Iida Jubei no tame shokusu, do Seto, Kawamoto Hansuke kore wo tsukuru. Overall height 68.5cm (27in), the stand 38.5cm (15 1/16in), the drum 26cm x 33cm (10¼in x 13in). (2).
