Comprising a circular iron plate carved with Chinese lions in katakiribori, the rim with a shibuichi fukurin; a Bushu tsuba carved with peony scroll in takabori, the rim pierced in itobori, signed Bushu ju Masayuki saku and kao; a Kishu tsuba carved with Chokaro's horse and gourd, the eyes picked out in gold, signed Kishu ju Mitsuie; a Shoami School tsuba pierced with irregular shapes and a brass fukurin, inscribed Shoami Shigenobu; a small iron aoi tsuba with a mountainous landscape, traces of gold overlay, illegibly signed; and a rounded rectangular iron tsuba carved with a pavilion in a landscape. The largest 8.1cm (3 3/16in). (6).
