Ten iron tsuba

18th-19th century
Comprising a circular plate with game pieces in iroe takazogan; a Myochin School mokko plate carved with tortoiseshell and pine, signed Hitoyoshi ju Minota kino Yasumichi; a circular iron plate tsuba pierced with a conch shell and carved on the web with yasurime, illegibly signed; an oval iron plate pierced with a plum floret, inscribed Umetada; an oval iron plate pierced with three cherry blossoms, inscribed Tadatsugu; an octagonal iron plate pierced and inlaid with shakudo and copper lattices, illegibly signed; a small iron tsuchimeji plate pierce carved with a fern, inscribed Nobuie; a circular iron plate with a shakudo fukurin inscribed Ietsugu; a square, thick iron plate, inscribed Bushu ju Kunihiro; a large Kaneie-style plate with pierced designs, partially inscribed Yamashiro ju. The largest 8.5cm (3 3/8in). (10).
