Comprising fifteen prints depicting scenes from an untitled Tokaido series, of Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Totsuka, Oiso, Hakone, Mishima, Numazu, Yui, Kakegawa, Fukuroi, Maisaka, Arai, Fujieda, Okazaki and Seki, issued originally in 1804 as a private commission of a poetry club with kyoka poems printed in the open areas, later reprinted various times and issued commercially with the original designs of double the width substituted by new designs by Yanagawa Shigenobu, each print (except Fujieda, signed Yanagawa-ga) signed Gakyojin Hokusai ga/Hokusai ga. Kokonotsugiriban, each sheet approx. 12.5cm x 17.5cm (4 7/8in x 6 7/8in). (15).
